Silvano in Mrs.Lyons class is showing leader in me habits by encouraging other students to behave during class!

Riverview High School has been recognized by the US Department of State as a USA Medallion School! Each year, we enjoy hosting foreign exchange students from across the globe to learn about our American culture and for us to learn about their native cultures!

JES students showed their Leader In Me habits by volunteering to help clean the cafeteria. Way to go!

The high school is hosting a food drive this week to benefit the local charity Jacob’s Place. Non-perishable food items can be brought to students’ first period classes for collection.

Riverview Fire Marshals and Optimist Club members successfully completed a fundraiser for Mission Machine, a White County public service organization which helps the homeless citizens in our county. They raised over $600 and donated hats, scarves, coats, gloves, and socks. Thank you to Riverview students and families who donated to this worthy cause. Special thanks to Riverview’s Mrs. Amanda Barnes and her daughter, Amelia Thomas for crocheting hats and gloves for our fundraiser. We wouldn’t have accomplished our goals without the Riverview family. It feels good to be a Raider!

Coach Woodworth’s Robotics 2 class has just finished their semester’s final project. They were working on the design, stability, friction, structure, and adaptation of the mouse trap car during the project. With three trials at the end to see who could go the distance!

JES will celebrate the holiday season with 12 days of Christmas dress up themes starting Tuesday! See the attached schedule.

Mrs. Kellem’s and Mrs. Piggs classes have been learning basic Spanish phrases to be able to communicate with a new English learner that only speaks Spanish. What a way to show empathy and kindness towards their new student!
