Riverview Parents and Guardians,
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced this week that the USDA will extend the free summer meals program to all students through December 2020. The Superintendent of Riverview Schools has applied for the waivers to extend this program throughout the district for the remaining of the fall semester.
This meal program will offer free meals to all children in our district throughout the fall semester, helping to ensure – no matter what the situation is on-the-ground – children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parents and Students,
The two-week trial for instructional options (virtual v. on-campus) ends Friday, September 4th. Please contact your campus administrator if you need to switch options or have questions.
Moving forward, on-campus students may only be counted present for school if they physically attend classes on-campus. The only exception to this procedure will be if our district COVID contact, Dr. Heather Allison, notifies the campus administrator and parent(s) regarding quarantine statuses.
Please contact your campus administrator for questions.
RHS Students and Parents,
Fall Picture Day is just around the corner! Get your smiles ready for Tuesday, September 8th! Lifetouch ordering packets went out to your high school student today. Extra packets can be picked up in the office or you can order via the online link below.

Attention Parents and Guardians,
The Riverview School District will be in session during normal operating hours today, Friday, August 28, 2020.
During the first SOAR of the school year, students watched, had writing prompts, and discussed CNN 10 to learn about current events including Hurricane Laura and NASA explorations.

Riverview Parents and Guardians,
The Riverview School District has been advised throughout the day on incoming severe weather in our area, including torrential rains and wind gusts.
For the safety of our students and staff, the district will dismiss all classes at 2:00 PM. Our district will also be monitoring the weather event in our area and will make a decision on tomorrow's course of action at a later time.
Both volleyball and football games today Thursday, 27th are cancelled because of the weather.

Grade level data meetings looked a little different this year! One goal of RJHS is students keeping track of their own data. Coach Hill met with all on campus and virtual students simultaneously using Google Meets! We are all learning and adapting to the current times, just as our vision statement implies- Focusing Forward For Success!

JES Families - Bus Route #39 is stopped at the RailRoad and will be delayed for just a bit. Please be aware as the bus changes the route to get the students safely home.

Good afternoon!
We have had a great second day at school!
If your student(s) is a car rider, you will find car tags in their backpack this afternoon. The car tags MUST be displayed on the visor of your car or hung from the rearview mirror.
If the car tag is not visible, you will be asked to come inside the school and show your ID before you can pick up your student(s).
If your student gets home another way you will receive car tags later this week. At some point, if your student is a car rider, please follow this procedure.

JES Virtual Families- In an effort to better serve you we will be changing the BREAKFAST “grab and go” meal pick up time. Please pick up breakfast for virtual students from 8:10-8:30am. This will allow the carline to disperse so that you can get in and out easily. Lunch will remain at the same time. Thank you for your understanding.

We are gearing up on Google Meets! 😊 JES had wonderful sessions across the campus today. Please be patient if you haven’t had a meet session yet. We are all learning this process together. Virtual students need to watch in Google classroom for assignments and meet invites. Thanks for working with us!💜
