
A representative from The Arkansas School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Hot Springs visited with 8th-12th Gifted & Talented students today about admission guidelines and opportunities available at the school.



Anatomy students have been working on a project called Mystery of the Bones. Students reconstruct the remains found at a camping site. They determine sex, race, height, age ,and gender from the skeletal remains.

Astronomy students have been learning about the basics of aerodynamics and flight by designing, building, and launching water bottle rockets with parachutes.

Both students and teachers had a blast today as Critical Reading class went to Warrior Gabby. During the visit a tour was given of how the warehouse works. They also showed us how they process, sort, and sell thousands of books. Each student selected a book of their choice for their upcoming book/author study and helped select books for our classroom libraries.
