Mrs. Clark’s Leader In Me students created a student led pantry project to promote student led donations of imperishable items to the school food pantry. These students served as leaders by recruiting teachers to volunteer to be pied in the face of a certain number of items were collected. Ryan Glass, pictured in the school’s pantry, donated the most items for the successful project! Way to go RJHS Leader In Me!

Riverview High School's Chamber Choir performed at the 3rd Annual A-State Choral Invitational along with three other regional choirs at Riceland Hall in Jonesboro. Each choir experienced the opportunity to work with world renowned clinician and composer Jake Runestad.  Great job to RHS Chamber Choir who sing under the direction of Mr. Drew Warren.

Annual Meeting and Consultation for Parentally-Placed Private and Homeschool Providers Riverview Public Schools will offer our Annual Child Find Meeting and Consultation for parentally-placed private and homeschool providers in the school district. The meeting will provide an opportunity for private school and homeschool representatives to share the needs of students with disabilities enrolled in their programs. Evaluation and service specifics for parentally-placed and homeschool children in the 2023-2024 school year will be shared with providers. Riverview’s LEA Supervisor will address the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA 2004). Areas of discussion will include: • The Child Find Process; • Determination of which, how, where and by whom special education and related services will be provided; • How the services will be evaluated; and • Determination of the proportionate amount of Federal Funds available to serve parentally-paced private school children with disabilities. The Consultation Meeting will be held on Monday, November 6, at 9:00 am, at the Riverview School District Administration Building. Please RSVP to stacy.taylor@riverviewsd.org so an appropriate number of materials will be on hand. Child Find is a federal obligation for school districts to locate and evaluate children, ages 3-21, who are suspected of having a disability. Evaluation and services are provided to children free of charge in compliance with the IDEA. For more information, please contact: Stacy Taylor LEA Supervisor Riverview School District

At tonight's School Board meeting, some students were celebrated because of their remarkable scores in state testing last school year. These kids were proficient or advanced in either three or all four subject areas. Exceptional students indeed, not only in our district but throughout the state!
