Behavior specialist, Christie Mancil met with JES, KES, RJHS and RHS teachers this week developing a behavioral matrix for each building.
K-6 Teachers at Judsonia and Kensett will have a new tool in the classroom this year,BenQ interactive boards. RSD had ARP ESSR funds with our HVAC project coming in under budget to add this tool to all K-6 classrooms. Teachers trained today on how to use these boards. We hope to make lessons more interactive with students to increase engagement and student achievement.
A big Thank you to our Tech Department for arranging today's training and getting this tool set up for our classrooms.

It is with a heavy heart that I share this information. Tuesday night Mr. Jeff Sanford, Riverview Junior High teacher, passed away. Mr. Sanford was a loyal employee of the Riverview School District for 24 years and had a total of 29 years in education. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family, friends, colleagues and students whose lives he touched in your thoughts and prayers. Visitation for Mr. Sanford will be Monday, August 5 starting at 10:30 am. Funeral will be at 1:00 pm Monday. Both the visitation and funeral will be in the Riverview Fine Arts Center on the high school campus.
