Riverview ABC Preschool Registration Requirements:

Kindergarten and Pre-K Registration will be held Monday, August 10th and Tuesday, August 11th, from 8:00-3:00 at the Kensett and Judsonia Elementary schools.Look for additional information soon.

Graduating Class of 2020, The proposed RHS Class of 2020 Graduation Plan has been approved by the state department in accordance with ADH and CDC guidelines. NEW SCHOOL START DATE Governor Hutchinson announced yesterday the start date for the 2020-2021 school year has been moved to August 24th but no later than August 26th. Riverview Schools were scheduled to start on August 13. We will make a decision on our official start date and share it with parents as soon as possible.

I would caution you that the plans are being based on current state and CDC guidelines and requirements that are ever-changing. Senior Class of 2021, Senior Picture Day is tentatively set for August 5th. All seniors currently registered should receive a letter from Prestige by LifeTouch in the mail by mid-July. A make up date will be scheduled by Prestige at a later time.

RHS Parents/Guardians, Due to the current pandemic and health department guidelines for schools, Riverview School District wanted to send out the most recent information regarding summer school. Unfortunately, due to current guidelines, we are not able to accommodate a summer school session on any of our campuses as we have in the past years. The current pandemic has challenged schools across the nation to become creative in educating our students. Options for regaining loss credit will be no different. Riverview High School is committed to seeking additional and creative options for credit recovery once the new school year begins and will release information on these options as they become available. Since school is closed due to the pandemic, schedule requests for the 2020-2021 school year are now ready and available through this online google form. We ask that our students and parents review the materials sent out via email by our counseling office to make decisions on your course requests. In order to graduate on time, it is recommended any student who has lost credit in a course participate in our Summer School Program, which will tentatively take place from July 6th- July 30th, Monday-Thursday from 8:00-12:00. Dinner and Transportation to and from the school to a centralized drop off zone will be provided at the beginning and end of each day’s session. Please make all effort to attend Summer School as it may disrupt your child’s expected graduation date if not completed before July 30, 2020. Letters will go out this week with guidelines for our tentative credit recovery summer opportunity. If you have any questions, please contact your campus principal.

Every year the KES third grade students are involved in the Bonnie Cabbage Program.This program offers students a chance to get a unique, hands on gardening experience through growing colossal cabbages. Vincent Dunlap proudly shows us his cabbage he has been growing. Great job!

This Kensett Elementary team placed 2nd in the Stock Market Game out of 139 teams in the Elementary Region 4 competition with 16% overall growth!! Congratulations to $PolarYeetDragons$ made up of Cheyenne Chapman, Justin Cooley, Khloe Engle, and Maysie Minner.

Class of 2020, Please check your email for a Google Form to fill out on senior accomplishments/scholarships. This is the information we read during the graduation ceremony. If you did not get a link to the form in your email, please email your principal as soon as possible. If you do not have internet access, we will have paper forms in the high school office beginning Monday, May 11th.

Dear Parents and Patrons of the Riverview School District: Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) packets for days 35-42 (May 11-May 20) will be as follows: Elementary: Arkansas AMI on PBS (CH 2) at myarkansaspbs.org/ArkansasAMI Jr. High/High School: review of foundational grade level skills in current AMI packets and teacher contact conferences for any students with work still out AMI Drop Off days for AMI days 20-34 will be available at the following locations on Monday, May 11, 2020 and Tuesday, May 12, 2020 from 8:30-3:00: Judsonia Elementary: Front entrance under the awning Kensett Elementary: Front entrance under the awning RJHS: Downloaded onto student MacBook or online through Google Classroom RHS: Front entrance in the foyer or online through Google Classroom All students on any campus with paper packets should submit AMI Days 20-34 at this time. Students may also submit any paper packets to their bus driver during our daily meal deliveries. The following procedures will be in place at this time: -All library books may also be returned. -All MacBooks should be returned (if students are done with work). -All Student Art and Art Club T-shirts that were ordered can be picked up in the back of the Fine Arts Center parking lot. -All band instruments should be dropped off/picked up in the back of the Fine Arts Center parking lot. -All items left in elementary classrooms will be available for pick up under the front campus awning -Yearbooks will be available for pick up as follows: Monday: Jr. High and High School Tuesday: KES and JES Extra yearbooks for $40 will be also be available. -Seniors should have all MacBooks, equipment, library books, and AMI work turned in and all fees and charges should be also be reconciled at this time in the high school office. -Any remaining AMI work for all students will be due no later than Tuesday, May 19th at 3:00.
