Important Information for 22-23 School Meals
The federal USDA waiver that allowed school districts to provide meals at no cost to all students the last two school years expired on June 30, 2022. Families who do not qualify for free or reduced price meals will resume paying full-price for school meals for the 2022-2023 school year.
Some Students Will Still Qualify, But You Must Apply
We understand this change may cause a financial impact for many of our families. If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them this school year, but you will need to apply to be considered for the program. If you are concerned that you may not be able to afford school meal prices, we urge you to fill out an application for free or reduced meal benefits. Applications for free or reduced meals will be included in registration packets. Income eligibility guidelines are available online.
All students will begin the school year based on if they applied and qualified for free or reduced meals for the 21-22 school year. Students who did not apply or qualify last school year will begin this year having to pay for lunches unless they complete an application and meet the qualifications for free or reduced meals prior to the start of school.
Please make sure you complete the application for free or reduced meals at registration or open house.
