This spring the state legislature passed a bill that changed when the district can start school in the fall. In response to this change, the board approved a new calendar for the 2022-23 school year. There are only two changes to the school calendar. The first day of school has been changed to Thursday, August 18th. The original start of school was going to be Monday, August 22nd. The second change moves the last day of school to Friday, May 26th instead of Wednesday, May 31st. By making this change to the start date it allows the district to have the last day of school scheduled for the Friday before Memorial Day. Students would not have to come back after Memorial Day if no snow days have to be made up next year. The revised calendar is posted on the district website.

This is the last week to apply for school choice for the 2022-2023 school year.

Two instructors that used to teach at Riverview, Mr Trey Reely and Mrs
Christy Fudge attended Nicole Salas's senior flute recital at the University of Central Arkansas on Saturday. Nicole is a Riverview graduate and did a wonderful job both technically and musically on classic flute literature. Nicole is the perfect example of what determination and drive, when combined with talent, can achieve.
