Last week Mrs. White spoke with seventh graders about the importance of managing time and staying organized. We appreciate her doing everything she can in helping our new 7th grade students get comfortable at the Jr High.

Attention RHS Students, There will be chess club tryouts on Monday, September 21st, right after school in Mr. Ortiz's room. If you cannot make it, you can email him, or go by his room to talk to him.

Coach Bell’s classes met with our counselor Mrs. White yesterday. 7th grade students learned about everything she does for us here in the JR High.

Parents and Guardians: I would like to thank everyone for a very successful start to this school year. Dealing with COVID-19 regulations has been something new for all of us, I appreciate your patience and support. Due to current CDC, ADH, and ADE requirements we need your continued help to keep the student count down on school buses to help maintain student health and safety. Therefore, we will not be able to transport additional riders with your children this year. On the buses, we are doing our best to maintain social distancing and do not always have space for additional riders. This applies to mornings and afternoons. Sorry for any inconvenience. Riverview alumnus Vanessa Valienta and her mother turned their hobby of couponing into donating to the junior high and high school hygiene closet! They donated soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant.

Attention Riverview Parents and Guardians, The Riverview School District was notified today that a student at Riverview High School tested positive for Covid-19. The district point of contact followed guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). All parents of students and staff members who are identified as a probable close contact have been contacted directly. If you were not contacted, then your child is not considered a probable close contact. Riverview School District is committed to the health and safety of our students, staff members and their families, and we will continue to be proactive in our social distancing and sanitation measures as well as keeping communication lines open. Friday is CLUB DAY at the Jr High!!!

Both Jr and Sr football games this week vs Bald Knob have been cancelled. We will continue to update the school website if there are any changes as quickly as we can.

JES Fall Picture Day September 23, 2020 Lifetouch Packet will come home soon.

Pre-sold football tickets will not be offered for this Thursday or Friday’s games vs Bald Knob. Fans will enter and pay as normal for the games this week.

KES Fall Picture Day: Wednesday, Sept. 23 On campus Students: 8-11 am Virtual Students: 1-2:30 pm

Tonight’s home Sr Football game vs CAC is not sold out at this time. There will be roughly 100 tickets at the ticket gate, beginning at 5:30pm, that will be sold on a first come/first serve basis. Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for students.

Riverview Parents and Guardians, The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced this week that the USDA will extend the free summer meals program to all students through December 2020. The Superintendent of Riverview Schools has applied for the waivers to extend this program throughout the district for the remaining of the fall semester. This meal program will offer free meals to all children in our district throughout the fall semester, helping to ensure – no matter what the situation is on-the-ground – children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
