The Riverview School District Board of Education announces that Superintendent Stan Stratton has retired effective immediately due to health reasons.
We are deeply grateful for Stan Stratton’s dedicated service and unwavering commitment to our students, staff, and community. During his tenure, he provided exceptional leadership and worked tirelessly to advance the district’s mission of educating every student for success. His vision, integrity, and passion for public education have made a lasting and meaningful impact on our schools.
On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire Riverview School District community, we extend our sincere appreciation and wish him the very best in his retirement.
To ensure continuity and stability assistant superintendent Susan Blockburger will serve as Interim Superintendent for the remainder of the school year. The Board of Education has begun the process of developing a plan to determine the district’s leadership for the upcoming school year and will keep the community informed as decisions are made.
