Riverview School District 2025-2026 Bus Transportation Plan
Due to the new configuration of our Elementary Campuses, Riverview School District will have some changes in Transportation for the 2025 - 2026 School year. We have been working on developing a safe and practical plan to transport students to all campuses. These plans are TENTATIVE and subject to change as we identify the need to shift the plan. Please be assured that we will keep parents informed of any changes to this plan as soon as they become available.
Morning Transportation Plans:
All buses will arrive at Riverview Primary School in Kensett and at Riverview Intermediate School in Judsonia each morning at 7:15. This is 15 minutes earlier than buses currently arrive. Please plan to have your students' buses pick them up 15 minutes earlier than this year (24-25) at their designated bus stops.
Both campuses will have staff on duty at 7:15 to assist students to a shuttle bus and supervise students that stay at this campus.
All buses will depart from the Riverview Primary campus and the Riverview Intermediate campus each morning at 7:25 to transport students to either the RHS/RJHS campus or the other elementary campus.
Parents can bring all their students to either campus, Riverview Primary or Riverview Intermediate, each morning, and students can ride a shuttle bus to the other campuses. Parents must have their students at either elementary campus by 7:20 to catch a shuttle to the other campus.
Parents who have students on only one elementary campus and do not require students to ride a shuttle bus are asked to plan to arrive at school at 7:30, the same time as last year (24-25). This will help alleviate the line and traffic
Parents who wish to transport their students to multiple campuses can begin arriving at Riverview Primary or Riverview Intermediate at 7:15 a.m.
Breakfast will begin being served at 7:15 at both Riverview Primary and at Riverview Intermediate.
RHS/RJHS morning and afternoon transportation and times will remain the same as those for the current year (2024-2025). Students are welcome to arrive on campus at 7:30.
Afternoon Transportation Plans:
Riverview Primary and Riverview Intermediate Schools will have buses leave campus at 2:50 for students who need to be transported to the other elementary campus.
Elementary students will arrive at their home campus and be assisted to their designated bus route for the trip home.
Elementary students who are car riders or walkers will be dismissed at 3:00. Car riders will be picked up in the exact location at Riverview Primary (Kensett) and Riverview Intermediate (Judsonia) as this year (2024-2025).
RHS/RJHS afternoon transportation will remain the same as this year (24-25). Buses will depart when loaded for the Judsonia Campus and Kensett Campus, where RHS/RJHS students will board their route bus for the trip home.
Once all buses have arrived at Riverview Primary and Riverview Intermediate, and students are loaded, they will begin transporting students home. We expect all buses to depart from the Riverview Primary and Riverview Intermediate campuses approximately 3:20 to start their routes home.
The first week or two of school will require some adjustment to implement our new plan efficiently and effectively. Please be patient. Our top priority is the safety of our students.
