Riverview Parents and Patrons, Due to the possibility of severe weather moving through our state tonight, we will be following normal procedures for our tornado shelters on each campus. Just a reminder, FEMA does not allow pets inside our shelters. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, FEMA has asked us to notify patrons to remain six feet apart and follow all CDC guidelines.

Riverview Parents and Patrons, As many of you are aware, Governor Asa Hutchinson has announced the closure of all public schools in the state of Arkansas for an additional three weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, the first day back to school for our students will now be Monday, April 20, 2020. All Riverview School District campuses will be closed and utilizing Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI days) beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 through April 17, 2020. Riverview students were given 10 days of AMI in their packets this week. AMI days 6-10 included in your packets will now be used to cover Monday, March 30, 2020-Friday, April 3, 2020. Please stay tuned for more information on additional AMI packets for April 6, 2020 through April 17, 2020. Feeding programs on our elementary campuses will not be available during our regularly scheduled spring break (March 23-March 27). Breakfast and lunch will be made available for students again beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 and continuing throughout the closure. As a reminder, all AAA and school-related activities are canceled until classes are resumed on Monday, April 20, 2020. District staff is currently developing plans to continue educational services for our students. We will communicate via our website and social media as plans develop.
